Advanced, Digitally Scanned Solutions

FOOT SCAN

Do you struggle with weakness and balance? Balance is a critical factor of living well with the force of gravity. If your body mass is not centered, every second that you are on your feet is creating unequal forces and additional stresses on your body. Your feet provide a vital foundation and abnormalities will significantly, over time, contribute to pain and disease. Unequal weight distribution may indicate a condition such as: short leg syndrome, pelvic instability, unequal postural strength, pelvic or lower extremity pain.

Why Choose Us

Our in office computerized foot scan will test your gait, balance, and stability. This technology illustrates your weight-bearing abnormalities and gives you and your physician a clear picture of all contributing problematic issues. Dr. Goldbaum will evaluate the scan and work with you to create a custom plan of care going forward which may also include physical therapy to increase reuse of motion and muscle strength.

severe foot and heel pain

EPAT

Everyday we treat people who experience mild to severe foot and heel pain. Dr. Goldbaum is a strong proponent of Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT) and the benefits it can have on your body. Foot and heel pain is typically caused by a condition called plantar fasciitis, but can also include Achilles Tendonitis, Heel Spurs, Tendon pain, and Neuromas. In addition to a custom treatment plan, we now offer the most advanced and highly effective non-invasive course of action – Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT). Some people may refer to this as “shockwave” but it is really a vibratory type of feel.

EPAT has a proven success rate that is equal to or greater than that of traditional treatment methods (including surgery) and without the risks, complications, and lengthy recovery time. EPAT is performed in our office, does not require anesthesia, requires a minimum amount of time, patients can immediately bear weight, and patients can return to normal activity shortly after. Patients report fast results, improved functionally and a decrease in debilitating pain following the procedure.

Snapshot NIR

KENT IMAGING

SnapshotNIR is a near-infrared (NIR), reflectance-based technology that measures tissue oxygen saturation (StO2) in superficial tissue. Using multiple wavelengths of NIR light, SnapshotNIR measures relative amounts of oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin in the microcirculation where oxygen exchange is happening. Snapshot provides users with a tissue oxygenation map that can be used in medical decision-making, for tracking and trending oxygenation, and for evaluating tissue viability in wound care.
